Forest Falls

Aaron and I and our friend Rosa went to Forest Falls on Monday. Now keep in mind that this area is just 15 minutes away from our house, just up the road from where we live. I couldn't believe that in such a short distance there was such a contrast in surroundings. We went from palm trees to snow that came up to my knees!! I almost felt like I was in Canada. It was so beautiful! The best part is how close it is to us. I'd like to go up again and maybe go on a hike next time. We went back to our house afterwards and thawed out with some hot chocolate and had a good talk with Rosa.

It's hard to believe that we are already entering February! Our good friend Amanda will be here to visit us in just two short weeks. We are so excited to see her again. We traveled through Chile together and to Peru and Ecuador and we haven't seen her since June. We are also going to visit my Pastor and his wife in San Diego at the end of the month. We also plan on seeing my grandparents who are on vacation Palm Desert. Then in March or April my mom is coming down too so it will be nice to see lots of friends and family in the next little while.

I did an "interview" for jaudible.com this week. It is a really neat website that just tells stories. A guy that goes to the church started it up. I told them about the time I slept in a tree in the Indian jungle with two other people and we thought we were stranded there. And also when I was in Costa Rica and went to the hospital to check out a weird bug bite and they ended up hacking open my ankle without telling me first! Anyways, my stories aren't up yet, I'll let you know when they are, but you should take a look at the website, it's pretty cool.
