Liam turns one {nautical birthday brunch}

Our little guy turned one last month and we threw him a party to celebrate. We thought it would be fun to try something different so we invited everyone to come over for a birthday brunch. It was a wonderful morning spent with friends and family and everything turned out very nice. Here are a few details from the day.

Yummy sweets table complete with doughnuts and cinnamon rolls (from N7 creamery)

I make the gold L with glittery gold scrapbook paper (you can see the tutorial here)
Rope and twine in clear jars = easy nautical touches :)
Above the coffee and juice station I pinned up some of my favorite instagram pictures of Liam from his first year
Bagel station
Pancake and waffle bar with lots of toppings!

This was my creation. Nom nom.
Nautical inspired goodie bags (blue paper bags, twine and mint life savers)
Photo displays are always such a nice touch at birthday partys and it's fun to look back at the past year
The birthday boy and his cousin, Kaylee
For the kids, I set out some newspaper hats for them to decorate as well as some string to make fruitloop necklaces.
It was very simple but it was a hit!

piƱata time!

He got pretty excited when everyone sang happy birthday to him
Cake!!
I think he liked it :)
