"When we crave simplicity we are not after an easier life. We are after life." - Dave Bruno

We were all out of town for Mother's Day this year. Aaron had a speaking engagement on the East coast and I was down in Southern California with the little ones. I was fine with taking a rain check and once we all returned home I told Aaron my only request was to spend an evening at one of my favorite little coves with the family. We packed up some snacks, some beach toys and a blanket and headed up to Montaña de Oro. I was quite content watching the kids play in the creek and I couldn't help but think this was one of our final few outings as a family of four. It was a beautiful and simple evening and I could't have asked for a better way to spend my (belated) Mother's Day.
