diy {diffuser necklace}

If you are looking for the perfect gift for the essential oil lover in your life, these necklaces are sure to be a hit! I love the simple style of these with the added benefit of keeping your favorite smell throughout the day. With a few simple steps you can make one of these pretty pieces for yourself or a friend.
Supplies
- needle nose pliers
- eye pin
- jump rings
- lobster clasp
- chain
- leather links (I found these at Hobby Lobby)
- beads or stones (I used lapis, adventurine and lava stones.)

Slide the beads onto the eye pin. Leave about 1/3 inch and cut off the excess. Grab the end of the wire with your needle nose pliers and roll towards the bead until it forms a loop. It should now look like a P, twist back the neck with your pliers to straighten your loop.
Attach chain to each side with jump rings
Finish off the necklace with a clasp, leather link, and jump rings
The beautiful finished product!
I love these necklaces and I wear them often! I apply a drop of essential oil to the bottom side of the leather link to use as a "nape diffuser." For the lave stone necklace I put a drop of oil directly on the lava bead.
These are a few of the essential oils that I like using on my necklaces. My recent favorite to use is tangerine, such a happy smell!

  1. This is so cool. We use them fairly minimally in our cleaners etc. My mom recently got involved with a brand of oils and she loves them. :) This is a great idea! :) XO - Alexandra
