These pictures may seem a little random. I was over at Aaron’s parent’s house yesterday and I decided to pull out my camera and take a few shots in their backyard and here’s what I came up with. In the last two years I have become really interested in photography and I am enjoying finding art in things that aren't so obvious like... my in-law's backyard!

There's a quote that says, “Poetry lifts the veil from the hidden beauty of the world, and makes familiar objects be as if they were not familiar.” I think that applies to photography too. You can take a normal, everyday item like a ladder or a door handle and make them look pretty interesting.

  1. I like. I do think fresh eyes has a nice appeal. I believe photography is just that : seeing the world in a new way that then inspires others to take a second look at what they might otherwise take for granted.
I really like the orange tree. Amanda

  2. Love your shots. I like Macro photography too. So many beautiful things which are never noticed! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Sarah.....I dunno girl - you just are a NATURAL at this - you capture the very essence of life in your shots....I had to take a double look at the doorknob till I figured it out - at first glance thot it was a piece of jewelry! now go figure!

Your pictures will take you thru your life and you will always be FULL of the beauty of creation that you have been gifted to capture!

Thank you for the pictures of a warmer climate - brrrr - could use that memory right now! -23! last I looked!

  4. The doorknob is absolutely beautiful.

  5. The doorknob pic makes doorknobs look special! Very nice pictures.
